Preliminary

   Preliminary Task Evaluation

In the preliminary task I had to make sure we had all the shots and angles which were asked for. This also gave us a chance to try out different shots and cuts we could use for our actual filming. In our preliminary we had to make sure we had an over the shoulder shot and also a match cut. First of all we thought of what was going to happen before deciding different shots to use. Once we had decided what was going to happen and also location we made a storyboard, this gave us a chance to set our work out and see in order of shots we are going to do. The storyboard was very useful and also good for when we do our actual storyboard for our final piece.
When we started filming I noticed many things we could change and also many faults. We found that doing a match cut was quite hard and also it took may attempts to get the cut right for going through the door. In the end we didn't use the shot of going through the door due to not fitting with what happened next.
We found the over the shoulder shot effective in this as we could see both people and also see there expressions.  At the beginning of our filming we have an actor coming up the stairs i found this useful as it was a medium shot showing the person and we could see what they were doing.
The preliminary task was useful in seeing different shots and trying different cuts out. We used this as a practice for our final filming and we can see how to use Live type which was helpful.
