Our opening- conventions

Conventions

Costume- As there is only one person in our opening of our thriller, we will only require one costume. The costume will cosist of a smart uniform as this will be easier to aquire and also will look make it more realistic when filming. So the costume should come under our school regulations as this will be what is required to make the character look like a school girl.

Location- The location for our filming is going to be in and out of school. We will start by filming our character walking down a local road, the reason for this location is because it is nearby and so we will be able to film in a short space of time. the other location will be inside the school, near the school gate.

Props- In our opening Thriller we have used few props  such as a school bag. This was to help explain what is happening to our person in the opening Thriller. We also used a mobile phone to add to the tension of the Thriller.



 Lighting -  The lighting tone for our opening piece needs to be a dark tone, this is because if it was bright sunlight people would relate it to be a happy film, where this is a thriller opening about a girl that goes missing and we want an 'eeriness effect'. We will also use a blur effect around the edges of the footage, this makes it look like a POV shot.
